for UNIUYO 2016/2017 Aptitude test Post
UTME Admission Screening exercise is to commence OFFICIALLY on Monday, 20th June, 2016.
Although as at the time of posting this, the information was yet to be uploaded
on the UNIUYO Official Portal, this information first appeared on a local tabloid
on Thursday June 16th 2016 I stumbled on few hours ago.
Why is this information not yet available on the web?
This is however not strange as it
is the usual tradition of the school to make this kind of information first
available on the newspapers - as many people would first grab the papers to get
news. In Akwa Ibom, the internet culture is only but growing. People prefer to read
the papers than surf the web. It’s just the culture. So don’t be amazed, the
school is not stupid in what it is doing.
Although full details are yet to
be released on the school website (as at the time of posting this), information
I could gather from the newspaper has it that the 2016/2017 UNIUYO “Aptitude
test” Screening exercise is open ONLY to
candidates who choose UNIUYO as first choice in 2016 Jamb.
NOTE
The 2016 UNIUYO Screening
Exercise will last twelve (12) days with engineering faculty kick starting the
exam on July 6th and clinical sciences taking the last slot on July 20th.
It is pertinent to note that
arrival time for each screening is 8am
per day.

Let me quickly summarise the
information you will find below here with notes on a few new developments.
1. This year, UNIUYO 2016 Post UTME Aptitude test has been code-named, “Screening Exercise” in line with the directive by JAMB following the scrapping of the Post UTME by the federal government.
2. Also, the screening exercise will last 12 days from Tuesday, 5th July, 2016 - Wednesday, 20th July, 2016
3. This year, as against other years since the inception of the post UTME Screening by the University of Uyo, candidates have the option of registering for the screening even from the comfort of their rooms without having to pay excessive transport rates to the school compound or the banks.
4. Candidates can equally buy the forms at banks NATIONWIDE – if they do not want to use their ATM Cards to get the registration done. This is against developments in years past where candidates must travel down to the school to make purchases of the form.
5. The required jamb cut off make remains at 180 for ALL faculties. This time, there is NOTHING like departmental cut-off marks as was obtainable last year.
6. Candidates can equally buy Original UNIUYOScreening Sample Questions and pay either via Recharge Cards or Bank/ATM payments.

PROPOSED NATURE OF UNIUYO 2016/2017 POST UTME ADMISSION SCREENING EXERCISE
2016/2017 UNIUYO SCREENING WILL BE ORAL - SEE REASONS BELOW:
UNIUYO 2016/2017 Post UTME Admission Screening may be Oral this time. From what is on ground, only one venue is to be used for the screening and the entire process has been spaced out.
This would give room for timely screening. it means the school is reverting back to its system in 2005/2006.
Have you noticed that candidates have not been asked to appear at the screening hall with writing materials and statioinary as obtained in previous years?
Lastly, when i looked through the registration site this afternoon, i discovered that there is no provision for candidates to enter their subjects, SSCE, bio-data etc. Even the course of study is not needed. what do they need this for when its just its obvious that the screening would not be based on these prerequisites.

2016/2017 UNIUYO SCREENING EXERCISE
The University of Uyo invites candidates
who made the University their 1st choice in the 2016/2017 Unified
Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and had a MINIMUM SCORE of 180 to
apply for Screening. The schedule for the Registration exercise is as indicated
below:
PROCEDURE FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT
According to information on the
newspaper, candidates eligible for the exam are to pay the sum of N2000 (Two
Thousand Naira) only via “Remita
Platform”.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR UNIUYO 2016/2017 POST UTME SCREENING ONLINE REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT
1. Visit www.uniuyo.edu.ng (click on portals link)2. Select Post UTME link and Click on Create Account Link3. Enter your details and click on Create Account Button4. Click on Make payment5. Select bank option or card option6. Click on generate e-invoice (Bank Option) or Online Payment (Card Option)7. Click on Print e-invoice (to generate receipt) to make payment at the bank (Branch Nationwide)8. For card option, select the payment type and click pay on the payment platform displayed.9. Enter your card details and click “pay” button10. After payment at the bank or via card, return to the portal and click on login Form Link and enter your Remita Retrieval Reference Number (RRRN) generated to complete your registration.

REQUIREMENTS FOR UNIUYO 2016/2017 POST UTME ADMISSION SCREENING
Candidates are required to appear
for the screening exercise with the following items:
i. Four (4) copies of the UNIUYO 2016 online registration form duly completed with Red photograph printed in colour.ii. Four (4) copies of 2016 JAMB (UTME) Result Printout.iii. Four (4) recent passport-size photographs in Red background.
UTME Registration number and Signature of the candidate on
the reverse side of the photographs. These should be packed in Quarto-size envelope
and labelled with name, department and Jamb registration Number.
