I dare to counteract some folks in this one, not antagonistically whatsoever but to make my own inputs on the matter: Unity in Christendom? It's a No, No!
How can we say that we are united as Christians yet so may divergent belief systems, denominations, sects, factions and sectionalism both within and outside denominations?
How can we say we are truly united, yet a brother will kill a brother for some material things, yet we pose that we are still united Christians?
How come someone from Jehovah's Witnesses will not collect a track from someone from Winners chapel but would expect the later to do otherwise?
People from catholic church still castigate Deeper Lifers and Deeper Lifers belief their belief systems is quite better than the former, and that of most Orthodox. I mean, where are we really heading to?
How come there is so much diversity in doctrines and teachings, some of which instigate a section to fight against the other - and still we say we are United Christians?
Even Manchester United is more united than most Christians and their indoctrination.
Christendom is divided. we are only moving to wherever we are going to. When we get to the river, we will cross. the gospel has permeated the nooks and crannies of this world. but with each permeation, escalation of interest whether real, transient or purely superficial becomes the new national anthem - whatever key it is: low or high.
